Introducing: pentabox.

A small project i built in 3 hours from emptying generic crap out of 5 generic Ikea boxes („Samla“) to soldering, wiring everything up and wrapping all the cables in transparent tape to coding a small demo.

The installation is powered by an Arduino Duemilanove development board. The code was written in Standard C and compiled under Ubuntu GNU/Linux. It runs autonomously using a 5V power supply, consuming an estimated 5 watts with all LEDs lit constantly.

Coming up next: Wiring up a cheap microphone or a headphone plug to the Arduinos analog input for sound control (VU-meter style)!
